Dr. Kelley gave me a silicone implant after my mastectomy. Years later I returned with pain and a list of seemingly unrelated illnesses. Dr. Kelley diagnosed it as implant illness and removed the implant. Over a series of 4 surgeries, she was able to construct an entire "breast" from fat harvested from my abdomen via fat grafting. My health has improved because the implant was removed. My breast is 100% me, and feels and looks amazing. I finally feel "whole" after the mastectomy.

I had implants for 17 yrs and was very sick for 12 out of the 17. I knew I had Breast Implant Illness. Had breast implants for 20 years, having problems for years before knowing of breast implant illness. Dr. Kelley did explant and I am only almost 1 month after explant and have had several symptoms disappear. Hoping more will disappear in time. I live almost 3 hours from Dr. Kelley's office and all I can say is she was absolutely worth the drive. I have had to wear oversized clothing for several years now so that they weren't tight fitting. I have been self conscience due to the size of my breasts for a long time and after my reduction I went from wearing large to small. Everything fit great on top but then I had the issue of clothes being tight around my middle. When I was unsuccessful in reducing the belly, side & back fat through exercise I decided to come back to Dr. Kelly for lipo and tummy tuck. Again, I had awesome results!!

I waited 11 years to have my left breast reconstructed after a lumpectomy and finally decided I wanted to look in the mirror and see two matching breasts. A reconstructed left breast and reduction on the right breast was the best decision. My post-op pain was minimal....never more than a 2. on a scale of 1 to 10 Tylenol on day 3 was all I took for the swelling. Thank you, Dr Kelly.!!!

Dr.Kelley gave me the hope I needed and assured me that she would be able to complete my reconstruction and physically restore my body. Little did I know at that time was that Dr.Kelley and her staff not only restored my physical state with her amazing skills as a top notch plastic surgeon but with that came a renewed sense of life and freedom to once truly live again as I had before my cancer. After surgery she called me to ask how I was feeling and if i had any questions. i was concerned about a blister, which she told me is normal, 2 weeks afterward and called her about 10 pm. She called me back immediately. She is kind and reassuring, has a gentle personality and never makes you feel that she is a rush. The office staff is also very personable and helpful.

Dr. Kelley and I have had a rather unusual journey together for the last 5 months. What was to be a simple procedure had the unexpected diagnosis of cancer in one breast. This was devastating news, but Dr. Kelley was totally there for me, not only to offer medical advice, but to offer personal compassion and understanding too! After having mastectomy surgery, in which she accompanied a surgical oncologist by inserting a tissue expander after the mastectomy, she then tracked my recovery until she could do a fat grafting procedure to hopefully build tissue to replace what I lost. I will need 2 or 3 of these procedures during the coming year to build enough tissue. She has also offered me other options should these procedures not be sufficient. She is willing to do whatever to make sure I am feeling okay about my body again. I cannot imagine having a more knowledgeable, competent and empathetic doctor to help me through this experience. Dr. Kelley is truly a very special surgeon in every way!

I chose to go to Meridian Plastics for breast augmentation based on two recommendations. Dr. Kelley was very open with me and answered all of my many questions thoroughly. She took a lot of time to make sure that I knew all of my options and that we had the same vision for my outcome. Being fully informed made me feel comfortable and safe. There are no words sufficient enough to describe how wonderful Dr.Kelley and her staff have been to me over the past 3 years. The staff is always knowledgeable, efficient, warm, friendly, and compassionate. My first breast cancer was in 2002. I had a lumpectomy. I came to Dr.Kelley in 2012 when the same cancer came back. Dr.Kelley was calming and compassionate. First, she said, "I am so sorry that this happened to you". Then I knew she was the right surgeon for me. She spent a lot of time explaining to me what would happen and why. She answered all my questions. I had a double mastectomy with fat grafting and full reconstruction. Her work is excellent; meticulous, precise, artistic,and beautiful. I loved my reconstruction. My breasts looked and felt real. I was looking and feeling great when the same cancer came back in June 2014. Shock and loss described my feeling about having to remove the left implant and do the reconstruction completely over. So,I had the reconstruction with fat grafting done again. I think I look even better after the second reconstruction on Oct 1st. ! There was a possible 4th lump in August 2104. Dr.Kelley said,"Whatever happens,I will be with you every step of the way". That was very reassuring and helpful. Results were negative. Dr.Kelley is a gift from God .I am so blessed to have her as my surgeon. When I count my blessings, I count her twice- once for each time that she saved my life. Thank you ever so much ! SInce then, On August 18th,2015, I had extensive fat grafting to my left breast to improve the level of comfort at this site . Dr.Kelley took fat from my abdomen and used it in my breast. She also removed 3 pounds of leftover skin and fat from my lower abdomen. I feel wonderful . I know I have a gene (ATM) that will not allow me to fight off more breast cancer ,but I am feeling that I am in very excellent hands should I need more surgery in the future. It is very reassuring to know, someone like Dr. Kelley is there by my side. Thank you ever so much for being the light in the dark .

Dr. Kelley is wonderful! She was very thorough in her explanation of what the breast reduction procedure would involve. She thoroughly explained all the potential risks and what to expect post-operatively. She provided the most professional care and tended to every detail. I am more than pleased with the results achieved. Post-operatively, things went just as she had described. The scarring is very minimal and she was able to reduce my breasts from a DDD to a B size bra cup. I am so happy with the results. This surgery has given me back the ability to do daily things with absolutely no back or shoulder pain. I have no more neck pain or headaches. I truly thank Dr. Kelley and her wonderful staff for giving me back the ability to do so many things. I am now able to enjoy life once again.

“What took me so long” is a question I have asked myself recently. Since I was a teenager, I had coped with very large breasts upon a small body frame. I endured not only the physical discomfort but also the difficulty purchasing clothing, participating in certain sports, and inappropriate remarks from boys. Often when I considered surgery, I was told that I should be grateful for full breasts. Not until I became a senior citizen, the age of reason for me, did I finally make the decision to explore the possibility of reduction. With much apprehension, I consulted with my physician who supported my inquiry but suggested that I select a highly professional, reputable surgeon. The recommended surgeon, Dr. Christine L. Kelley at the Meridian Plastic Surgery Center of Indianapolis, was my top choice.
An appointment was made; preliminary information collected including physical, physiological, financial data. All medical details were made clear. All questions answered. My decision became quite firm. I'm going to do this. I trust this doctor.
My surgery was quite successful. For the first time in my life, I had appropriate sized breasts. I could stand up straight. And, I could shop for “normal” sized bras. Halleluiah! There were complications though. I developed a severe breast infection. I accepted it as something that sometimes happens. Dr. Kelley though, took complete charge of this set-back and attacked the problem with full attention. After a few months of healing, a second surgery was performed to make minor corrections.

I have recently been diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer, with a recommended treatment of a double mastectomy. My breast surgeon recommended Dr. Kelley for reconstruction because of her very precise and meticulous care in designing new breasts. Dr. Kelley is the best, I was told by my physicians. And they were right.
It all began with Dr. Kelley patiently spending as much time as needed with my husband and me explaining all the details of breast reconstruction and the options available. Dr Kelley was very knowledgeable about the most up to date procedures and products. She spoke in a language my husband and I could understand and with a woman's point of view. After listening to her I knew she was going to give me beautiful breasts! It was her attention to detail and her not settling for less than perfect, that built my confidence in her expertise.
Dr. Kelley uses the latest technology, including, what I call a painkiller ball, which ensures minimum pain of your wounds for days after surgery. This is just one example of her care in my comfort, which so impressed me. The result is you do not need much pain medicine for the first week! It was so great I couldn't believe how little pain I experienced. Properly using these innovations is what I loved about Dr Kelley. Dr. Kelley also deeply cares about appearance. Things like my scars are soooo thin!
Dr. Kelley considers herself an artist, I thought how unusual that sounds, but that is exactly what she is. She reconstructs from an artistic point of view. Another interesting fact about Dr. Kelley is that I had been told she will not leave surgery until she feels her work is exactly as she wants it, which sometimes takes a little longer. I'm grateful today and I have beautiful breasts because of her attention to detail.
My husband and I had many questions about the entire process of reconstruction; Dr. Kelley was very patient in answering all our concerns and would always reassure me. This was so important because breast cancer and a double mastectomy are very scary things to go through. Dr. Kelley made that process less painful.
To conclude, I am a woman of faith and I believe God brought Dr. Kelley in to my life to make my walk with cancer easier. I have seen many good things come from this experience. This is my son's senior year of high school and breast cancer has made us closer than ever. For Christmas he wrote me a letter and framed it with a picture of him sitting on my lap at 6ft. 1 inch! The best part the letter said “mom cancer has brought us so much closer and knit us together even more.” Wow! What 18 year old says that. For a mom, that's a gift you never forget. I have so many more stories like this, including my husband and I have been closer than ever, not to mention I feel so great! Healthy and getting stronger each month.
I guess I would have to say, “thank you God” for the gifts in cancer and the wonderful people, like Dr. Kelley, you brought to me.
My visit to Dr. Kelley was for a second opinion. I was very apprehensive and nervous as I had already had two botched breast augmentation surgeries by another plastic surgeon. Somehow, God gave me the strength to keep that appointment. Immediately after she walked into the room and we began to talk, I started to feel at ease. I found her to be compassionate, kind and also an incredible listener.

On September 1, 2006, I was faced with having to have a double mastectomy and all that entails. I was unable to have reconstructive surgery at the time due to my oncologists request, which made the diagnosis even harder to accept, but I did.
I am now a breast cancer survivor and very proud to say that. It is now 2009, and my youngest daughter is getting married in September and I wanted to look the best I could for her and myself.
